South Carolina Battleground Preservation Trust
The surviving battlefields and other historic military sites throughout South Carolina tell the story of our nation. They are poignant reminders of our past and offer lessons for our future. Many of our state’s historic sites have been destroyed. Many others are threatened by development and urban sprawl today.
Since 1991, the South Carolina Battleground
Preservation Trust has worked with property owners,
developers, and communities to obtain conservation
easements and deed transfers to protect our important historic resources for future generations.
There is much to be done, but we cannot accomplish our mission without your help and support. Join the Trust today and support the preservation of our important historic sites.
